  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup marinara sauce
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, milk, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
  3. Form the meat mixture into a rectangular loaf (about 9×12 inches) on a baking sheet.
  4. Create a well in the center and fill it with mozzarella cheese, spinach (if desired), and marinara sauce.
  5. Fold the meat around the filling to seal it completely.
  6. Spread remaining marinara sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
