  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium sweet onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cut the zucchini into 2-inch pieces and then into wedges.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add zucchini and onion; sauté for about 2 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Stir in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until desired tenderness is reached.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
